Playtech and IGT go head-to-head this February
This has been a record year for new slot releases, with more games being delivered into your favourite online casino sites in January than in any previous year. Now that January is waving bye-bye, and February is upon us, you might be expected a little dull in the industry. After all, many casinos are far too busy setting up their Valentine’s Day promotions to deal with new slot releases. This doesn’t appear to be slowing down the developers, though, as both Playtech and IGT have announced that new slots are on the way for February.
Fields of Fortune
Playtech have already announced that their Fields of Fortune slot machine is set to be launched in early February. This game will offer up 5 reels and 25 paylines of action, with players able to spin the reels of the game for as little as 0.25 per spin. Moreover, players can use wild rose symbols to potentially turn the second, third, and fourth reels into expanding wild symbols. Throw in a free spins bonus which features two potentially very different bonuses (one has extra wilds, whilst the other offers increasing multipliers worth up to 5x the normal rate of pay), and this is a very exciting time to be playing Playtech slots.
Also scheduled for launch next month is Playtech’s Roaring Wilds slot. This game will feature a nature theme, and is played over a larger 5-reel, 40-line structure. Players can spin the reels for as little as 0.40 per spin, and they will have the chance to land stacked symbols on the reels to boost their chances of success. There is also a free spins feature which is going to make an appearance in this slot, with players able to up to 15 free games in all.
Gong Xi Fa Cai
IGT’s February release is being called Gong Xi Fa Cai, and it is shaping up to be a top New Year themed video slot. Naturally, this is Chinese New Year we’re talking about, and the game will contain a whopping 50 paylines spread over its 5 reels. Expect to be able to play it for stakes which range from 0.50 per spin up to 75.00 per spin. Wild wins on this nature themed slot come with multipliers worth up to 5x, whilst a free spins bonus can see players able to bag 8 free games. There are four non-progressive jackpots to win, and animal symbols can turn golden and become wilds to give you more chances to succeed.
Which will come out on top?
All three of these new games are due for launch in early February, but which one has the most promise. To be perfectly frank, there are many Chinese themed slots out at the moment, so Gong Xi Fa Cai may have too much competition to prove successful. Roaring Wilds is too basic to be a massive success, so we’ll put our stock in the gardening themed Fields of Fortune, as its features and theme are truly unique, and a welcome addition to the casino world in 2017.
