Korean Baseball The New Rage At New Jersey Sportsbooks

BETMGM New Jersey

This week is all about Korean Baseball. That’s right, the Korean Baseball Organization is here, and it’s got many baseball fans rising and grinding far earlier than they likely have been for the past few weeks. Who doesn’t want to watch live baseball with their favorite commentators in the wee hours of the morning?

It’s worth pointing out that several former major-leaguers are playing in the league this year. Dan Straily, Aaron Altherr, Adrian Sampson, Preston Tucker and Casey Kelly are among those partaking in the 2020 season. And they’re definitely happy to still be playing.

The hottest league to bet on right now, you’ve got to get to your local NJ sportsbook if you have not already. ESPN struck a deal with Eclat Media Group to air six games per week, one per day. From Tuesday through Sunday, you’re able to see games.

And so, the urge to bet on live sports is continuing to grow. The KBO is here to rescue you from the lack of having live games. Once you place your wagers on your favorite teams and players, you simply tune in to ESPN and reap the rewards.

Who To Watch

There are two players that new fans should be monitoring closely. Min-Woo Park has shown hitting prowess throughout his career, hitting .327 for his career. He’s with the NC Dinos now. And Byung Ho Park, a former Minnesota Twin, has 310 career home runs.

Doosan is the team you should be making the big bets on, as they were the champions in 2019, and have won three out of the past five Korean Series titles. They’re basically the San Francisco Giants of the KBO. BetMGM has Doosan as the favorite to win the title this season, with odds of +350.

Overall, they have won the third-most titles in the history of the league (six). In front of them are the Samsung Lions (eight) and the Kia Tigers (11). The race to the end is going to be fun. The season just started a few days ago, so the whole thing is going to be able to be followed.

We’re still in the middle of the first week of the season, but there have been two teams that have raced out to perfect 4-0 starts. The Lotte Giants have looked good, and they were able to outlast the SK Wyverns in 10 innings.

The other team to do so is the Dinos. They defeated the LG Twins in blowout fashion today, by a 13-5 tally. After finishing with the fifth-best record in the KBO a season ago, this is great to see from them. A good first week can go a long way.

In The Spotlight

There is an added benefit to those playing in this league this season. Normally overshadowed in America and Canada by Major League Baseball, it has become the feature game this year. The baseball league that people are betting on the most.

The former major leaguers playing in the KBO are all going to get the chance to play for a national audience in America. And this is basically a chance at a re-birth for them when the MLB eventually returns to normal.

Any of them that play well in front of this national audience that is likely being seen by MLB GM’s could squirm their way back into the pros. The same goes for any players that didn’t come from the majors that have a dream of playing.

For comparison, Zydrunas Ilgauskas (Cleveland Cavaliers legend) was discovered in a scrimmage against a college team. He was from Lithuania. Any player that breaks out this year will be doing so with a much larger following paying attention.

So, get out there and bet on the KBO. It’s all the rage for New Jersey Sportsbooks right now.
