DraftKings improved its online casino portfolio with a game of craps. It’s a branded title that’s simply called DK Craps, offering an immersive craps experience to players in New Jersey.
The company announced last Monday that the game was introduced to the casino offer in the Garden State, whereas it’s currently pending approval in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and West Virginia — the other three states where online casino gambling is legal and regulated.
What makes DK Craps stand out from the pack is that it isn’t provided by some popular game developers. Instead, it was built in-house, meaning it’s a release made completely by the team at DraftKings. There are currently 494 casino games available at DraftKings Casino, and all of them are approved in all four states. A total of 50 games were built by DraftKings.
Jason March, V.P of iGaming at DraftKings, stated in a press release that DK Kings was the “most realistic craps game on the market.” He shared his excitement about DK offering “a premier online experience within (our) top-rated Casino product.”
The game will offer a wide array of betting features that will provide top-notch in-app gameplay. It will let players select multiple wagers with just one tap, which is pretty similar to how you would make a single request in a land-based casino. Players will also have a chance to select whether they want to roll or swipe the dice and pick the direction of their choice. The game will also let you select whether you want to keep your bets on the table after every win.
Since craps can seem complex, especially to first-time players, DraftKings decided to introduce an on-screen tutorial to assist you with the game. Even if you’re an experienced craps player, the in-game help will help you refresh your memory about certain rules of craps. DK Craps is available via the DraftKings Casino mobile app for both Android and iOS devices.
Overall, DK has been doing pretty well in the online casino industry, and it is already one of the leaders in online sports betting. DraftKings has also been one of the top performers in all four states where online casinos are legal.
In New Jersey, the popular online casino joined forces with Resorts Atlantic City to offer online gaming to NJ players. The recorded revenue for online casinos in April was $18.9 million, which was the third-largest in the state.
In Pennsylvania, DraftKings partnered with Hollywood Casino. It posted the highest April revenue in this state — a total of $35.9 million.
Michigan is the youngest online casino market, and DraftKings has been consistently third in terms of revenue since January. It partnered with Bay Mills Casino and reported $14 million in April revenue.
DraftKings is partnered with Hollywood Casino in West Virginia as well, where it reported the second-highest online casino revenue in April — a total of $1.7 million.
