Basics of Roulette

The object of the game is to predict which number the ball will land on. It is ideal to know how to play online roulette in the US, just as it is important to learn where to play online roulette.

The croupier announces the start of a new game by saying “make a game”. At that moment, the bets for the next spin are open. The players will be able to place their bets on the table until the croupier closes the bets by saying “no more.”

After closing the bets, the croupier will throw the ball on the spinning wheel. When the ball stops in any of the boxes, the croupier will announce the winning numbers, withdraw the losing bets and pay the winning bets.

Types of Roulette

Once you’ve learned to play any roulette, you can play other versions as well, as long as you take into account some of the nuances we will be discussing below.

French Roulette

French Roulette is possibly the most popular and widespread version of the game both in physical casinos and online platforms. It is not surprising since it is the one that offers the most possibilities to win.

This version contains the numbers from 0 to 36, and three dealers handle the table. In addition, it has surrender and prison rules. The latter means that when the 0 comes out, half of the simple bets are returned to the players. This does not happen the rest of the roulette variations, in which the bank keeps all chips on the table.

European Roulette

This way of playing roulette hardly differs from the French version. Both the wheel itself and the board are very similar. The difference is located in the part of the game related to the table, specifically in the number of dealers, since it only has one instead of three.

Another difference is the board’s design, as its graphic form is different. In European, a cylinder is represented where the existing sectors can be seen. The wheel also varies, although it contains the exact numbers, from 0 to 36. Some details differ, the most important being that there is no “in prison” rule.

American Roulette

In this version, there is an increase in the number of boxes on the wheel, from 36 to 38. This roulette begins with double 0, followed by 0, and the rest of the numbers: from 1 to 36.

Likewise, the numbers do not appear in the same order as the European or the French, and the “in prison” rule is invalid, meaning if 0 is rolled, all single bets will be lost. Finally, the number of dealers is the same as in the European version.

What is the best way to play roulette

Labouchere System

The Labouchere system is a complex roulette strategy due to its rules, although that does not mean that a novice player will not be able to use it.

The player must set a goal of real money that he wants to win and divide that amount into smaller ones, which he will put in writing. The player then adds the amounts to the left and right of the whole to determine their first bet.

If you win, the numbers are crossed out, and you bet based on the following numbers to the left and right. If you lose, the amount wagered is added to the far right of the sequence.

Martingale Strategy

The Martingale system is one of the most famous and oldest strategies.

In Martingale, every time the player loses, the bet is doubled. Thus, when you finally win, you recover the money previously lost and an additional benefit for the original chance.
